(Jan. 8, 2013) – Mette Refshauge has been appointed Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at Danfoss, with effect from Jan. 7, 2013. She will join the Danfoss Group Committee, reporting to CEO & President, Niels B. Christiansen.

Refshauge will be responsible for external and internal communications, the Group’s Public Affairs activities and the Corporate Branding of Danfoss. One of Refshauge’s main responsibilities will be to strengthen Danfoss’ global identity at a time when the company is expanding in a number of key international markets, including Russia, India and China. Other major tasks will be the maintenance of Danfoss’ strong reputation and the further development of the company’s profile as an active player in promoting a sustainable future.

Refshauge comes from a position as Communications Vice President at the airline company SAS, where she was in charge of communicating and handling the extensive rescue plan that was implemented by the company at the end of 2012 in a blaze of publicity. She has held a wide range of managerial positions for more than ten years at the Danish telecommunication company TDC with responsibility for both communications and HR. She left TDC as Vice President of Corporate Communications.

Refshauge holds an MA in philosophy and media science from the Århus University, Denmark. Moreover, she has an additional journalist qualification from the Journalist College of Denmark.  She is 39, married and has two children. She will be based at the Danfoss headquarter in Nordborg, Denmark.
