OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (April 10, 2013) – Pump Solutions Group (PSG®) has named Russell Sitka Director of Business Development, Americas. In addition, PSG appointed Doug Cumpston as Director, Global Segment Marketing (Energy).

Sitka will be responsible for the coordination and execution of PSG’s strategy for the regional vertical segments, including strategic program and business plan development; marketing and communications strategy; pre- and post-acquisition support; sales support as well as technical support in regional vertical market segments. Sitka will report to John Pepper, VP Sales and Business Development, Americas.

Sitka has been a valuable member of PSG for the past 16 years, originally serving as a Regional Manager for Wilden® before being promoted to Regional Director for the Western US in 2001. He held that position for 11 years before being promoted to Director of Integration, Americas, for PSG in July 2012. Sitka’s responsibilities during this time included channel management across all PSG lines, promoting and implementing new product introductions, project management, and globalization and strategy implementation of new acquisitions in the Americas. Prior to joining PSG, Sitka worked at an industrial pumps distributor in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA, where he was responsible for account management and selling of all pump technologies at the end-user level.

Sitka holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

In this role, Cumpston will be responsible for the development and execution of PSG’s global energy market strategy. Cumpston will focus on strategic business development and marketing, as well as sales and technical support for PSG’s growing energy segment. He will report to Andrew Usuki, VP Global Segment Marketing.

Cumpston has more than 16 years of experience in the pump industry, working most recently as the Regional Manager for PSG and Blackmer®. Specializing in channel development and management, Cumpston’s responsibilities included sales and technical training, as well as application and system engineering for ANSI centrifugal pumps, vane pumps, industrial hose pumps, eccentric disc pumps, gear pumps, oil-free reciprocating compressors, air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps, metering pumps and progressive cavity pumps. During this time, Cumpston focused primarily on the chemical, industrial gas, hygienic, refined petroleum, transport, refinery and oilfield markets. Prior to joining PSG, Cumpston managed a petroleum equipment distributor/manufacturer and was a District Field Engineer for a major oilfield service company.

Cumpston holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Colorado State University.
