HOUSTON (July 21, 2014) – ValvTechnologies Inc. named Tom Singh as vice president, supply chain operations, announced company President Kevin Hunt.
Based in Houston, Singh will have executive responsibility for ValvTechnologies’ global sourcing, purchasing, planning, materials management, project management and logistics groups. His appointment serves to integrate the value stream between the sales order and the factory so that ValvTechnologies can better serve its customers.
Singh brings significant global leadership and supply chain operations experience to ValvTechnologies from such diverse industries as automotive, telecommunications, heavy manufacturing and valves. He has set up operations in India, China, Southeast Asia, and North and South America. Most recently he served as vice president, global supply chain, with JB Poindexter & Company in Houston. He previously held similar senior leadership roles with Circor International, Harris Corporation, Twinlab and Symbol Technologies.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in both aerospace and mechanical engineering from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA in finance from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, Hofstra University.
