(Feb. 3, 2016) – In May 2015, Danfoss finalized the acquisition of global AC drives manufacturer Vacon. Now, Danfoss, through its business segment Danfoss Drives, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of variable speed drives, with more than 5,000 employees specializing in motor control, sales and service centers in more than 50 countries and production and R&D operations in China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Italy and the United States.

In North America, Danfoss has eight locations serving the AC drives market, including three manufacturing facilities and three industry-specific competence and research and development centers:

  • Research Triangle Park, N.C. – R&D laboratory for high-power AC drives
  • Chattanooga, Tenn. – Competence center dedicated to industrial sectors
  • Houston, Texas – Competence center dedicated to the oil and gas industry
  • Chambersburg, Pa. – Manufacturing
  • Loves Park, Ill. - Manufacturing
  • Milwaukee, Wis. – Manufacturing
