TORONTO (Oct. 5, 2016)—Armstrong Fluid Technology has launched a new employee recognition initiative that consists of a worldwide talent show for its workers to raise money for the charity WaterAid.

Called “Armstrong’s Rising Stars,” the program encourages employees worldwide to submit videos of themselves showcasing their various talents, from singing to dancing or juggling and more. Every video submitted will be sponsored by donors and special fundraising events with all contributions donated to WaterAid, an international charity dedicated to providing access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation.

“We believe our Rising Stars program is a great way to raise money for a very worthwhile cause while recognizing our employees for their unique talents and allowing them to get their colleagues and communities involved in the fund raising effort,” Armstrong CEO Lex van der Weerd said in a statement. “As a fluid technology company, we support the mission to provide clean drinking water to all people.”

Donations will be raised through kick-off events at each Armstrong location and by supporting the employees who submit videos. Each country has determined the minimum level of funds to be raised for each video submission. Employees can choose to raise additional funds through their own efforts as well.

All videos submitted will be posted on Armstrong’s website and voted on by employees. The top three videos will receive prizes and a drawing will be held for an additional prize among non-winning entries. There will also be a prize for the employee who raised the most donations for WaterAid.
