Michael RomanoBIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Cahaba Media Group, the publishers of Pumps & Systems magazine, today announced that Michael Romano has been named to the magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board. In this role, Romano will assist the editorial staff in assessing evolving market trends, and he will assist the editors in helping to identify topics of interest for readers in the chemical, industrial and transitioning energy markets.

“Pumps & Systems is the gold standard for trade press coverage in the markets that I’ve spent the majority of my career in, and I’m thrilled to join the Editorial Advisory Board,” said Sundyne’s Michael Romano. “I talk with senior executives and influencers from the world’s largest chemical, petrochemical and industrial companies, and I can attest to the fact that they’re interested in the content published in Pumps & Systems and the changing market trends.”  

Romano is the senior director of Global Strategic Accounts at Sundyne. He has spent a lengthy and distinguished career working with companies that make flow control equipment. Before joining Sundyne, Romano spent nearly a decade at Flowserve, where he served as that company’s director of Global Strategic Accounts for the chemical space. Prior to this, Romano was group vice president of sales and marketing for Circor. Romano has also worked as the strategic oil and gas industry leader for Tyco Flow Control and as the marketing and business development leader at Graco Liquid Control, where he focused on the company’s industrial process marketing efforts. For the last three decades, Romano has worked extensively with many of the world’s largest chemical, petrochemical, refining and general industrial process companies. 

A chemical engineering graduate of McMaster University in Canada, Romano holds five separate U.S. patents in chemical materials and processes used to enhance long-term environmental sustainability within the oil and gas and chemical industry.
