ABU DHABI (June 10, 2013) – Siemens Energy will supply a wet air oxidation ethylene spent caustic treatment system as part of an ethylene plant expansion. Customer is Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), one of the companies in the Middle East that produces and supplies ethylene. The Zimpro wet air oxidation (WAO) system from Siemens will be part of QAPCO’s facility in Mesaieed Industrial City, Qatar.

MUNICH, Germany (April 10, 2013) – Siemens has formed a global strategic collaboration agreement with CH2M Hill. The relationship between the two global companies began last year, when senior automation engineers from CH2M Hill joined more than 150 other guests from the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil for Siemens German Business Trip, a special, five-day VIP executive briefing trip timed around the Hannover Fair.

ERLANGEN, Germany (Feb. 1, 2013) – Hudbay S.A.C Peru, a subsidiary of Canadian Hudbay Minerals, has ordered technical equipment from Siemens for the power supply and integrated automation at its Constancia copper mine in Peru. The order also includes preassembled power distribution units (E-houses), fully equipped transformer substations with high voltage and medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, capacitor banks and transformers

PITTSBURG (Nov. 20, 2012) – HYOSUNG GoodSprings (HGS), announced that Siemens has selected HGS as the supplier for its Condensate Extraction Pumps (vertical can) and Condensate Recirculation Pumps (API-610) for five combined cycle plants being constructed in Texas and Argentina. HGS has also delivered its first circulating water pumps in the U.S. to a geothermal power plant in northern Nevada.  These pumps have been in service for almost one year. 

NUREMBERG, Germany (Jan. 11, 2013) – The Siemens Drive Technologies Division has received an order from ThyssenKrupp Robins (Greenwood Village, Colo.) to supply the gearless drive system for the overland conveyor system in the Las Bambas copper mine in Peru. The owner of the mine is Xstrata Copper (Brisbane, Australia). Las Bambas will be the second Xstrata Copper mine in Peru to use gearless drives from Siemens on its overland conveyors.

ATLANTA (June 19, 2012) – Siemens Drive Technologies Division’s Norwood (Ohio) Motor Manufacturing Plant has been selected by the Mekorot National Water Company to produce vertical frame motors to support one of the largest water infrastructure projects in Israel since the 1960s.

Siemens global team of motor experts from Norwood and Siemens Israel collaborated to secure an order for 10, 2,600kW (3,487 hp each, Above NEMA) vertical motors, totaling approximately $2.7 million.

Siemens carbon reactivation facilities in Parker, Ariz., Red Bluff, Calif., and Darlington, Penn., as well as a waste and wastewater treatment facility in Roseville, Minn., received the esteemed recognition.
