SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland (April 25, 2016) – Xylem Inc. has launched a new biogas support system, the Flygt BIS 1 biogas support system, specially adapted for the wall-mounting of submersible mixers in biogas digesters. The robust installation system is designed to ensure process optimization, reliability and safety as well as hold the mixer in place throughout its use.

The system is easy to install and enables the operator to reduce installation time by up to 40 percent.*

DUBAI (March 22, 2016) – Xylem Inc. has won a major contract valued at more than $8 million to develop and supply customized technologies to a wastewater treatment and reclamation plant in Sulaibiya, Kuwait. Following a plant expansion currently underway, it will be one of the largest water reclamation facilities of its kind in the world.

RYE BROOK, N.Y. (March 8, 2016) – Xylem Inc. announced that Mark Rajkowski has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Reporting to Xylem President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Decker, Rajkowski will lead the company’s global finance organization. ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (Jan. 20, 2016) – The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology and Xylem Inc. have jointly announced a research collaboration to establish sustainability indicators such as energy and cost performance of processes and equipment for water, wastewater and water transport and treatment facilities in Abu Dhabi.

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland (Jan. 11, 2016) – Xylem, a global water technology company, has been awarded a $1.3 million contract to provide advanced treatment technology to the Saigon Water Corporation’s Tan Hiep Water Treatment Plant 2 in Vietnam’s capital, Ho Chi Minh City. Under the contract, Xylem will design, install and commission an expansion of the existing treatment plant, to include the first ozone treatment application in Vietnam.

LANAYE, Belgium (Dec. 10, 2015) – Xylem has designed a water pumping solution as part of a complex project to expand the Lanaye Locks in Belgium, a vital connector route between Northern and Southern Europe. Xylem’s Flygt pumps and turbines will regulate water levels in the canal network and harness energy from excess water in the Albert Canal. The addition of a fourth Lanaye lock [225 metres (m) x 25m] will quadruple the lock system’s convoy capacity from 2,000 to 9,000 tons.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Dec. 2, 2015) – Xylem, a global water technology company, has announced that its Wedeco Duron ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system has received conditional acceptance from the California Water Boards’ Division of Drinking Water (DDW). The California Water Board’s DDW regulates public water systems, oversees water recycling projects, permits water treatment devices and supports and promotes water system security.
