Greg Raty joined Slade in 1996 and is currently the vice-president, serving on the board of directors at Slade, Inc. He is responsible for Slade’s global expansion as well as monitoring the day-to-day operations. Prior to joining Slade, Raty worked for more than 13 years wit a large New York publishing firm, assisting with the management of its branch locations in more than 230 countries. He also managed funds related to the transactions of real estate properties. In May 2010, Slade received the prestigious President’s “E” Award. The Presidential “E” Award was created by President John F. Kennedy in 1961 to recognize persons, firms or organizations that contribute significantly to increasing U.S. exports. Raty is a member of the North Carolina District Export Council (NCDEC), which endeavors to assist and advise businesses in North Carolina with regard to exporting. Slade is a member of FSA and serves on the board of directors and as vice-president.
Peter S. Petrunich
Pete Petrunich is the technical director of the Fluid Sealing Association and has over 30 years of functional and administrative experience with the technology and marketing of fluid sealing products employed in the gas, oil, petrochemical, chemical and power industries worldwide. He has held executive marketing and technology positions with Morgan Crucible, Plc. During his tenure with Union Carbide, Petrunich held positions in technology, marketing and manufacturing, which included application development of carbon-graphite and flexible-graphite-based sealing products. Petrunich has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science from the University of Toledo. He has authored a number of papers on topics related to the fluid sealing industry and edits the monthly “FSA Sealing Sense.” He also has held administrative responsibilities in a number of related trade, standards and technical associations.
