ZURICH (July 2, 2014) – ABB has won an order worth $78 million from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Saudi Arabia’s national power transmission and distribution operator. ABB will supply transformers for two new combined-cycle power plants that will boost transmission capacity around the capital, Riyadh, and surrounding areas of the Central Region. The order was booked in the second quarter of this year.

(June 2, 2014) - Metito announced a partnership with Emaar Properties, the Dubai-based global property developer, to recycle 20,000 m3/day of wastewater to be used for district cooling in Downtown Dubai, its flagship mega-development. This is in line with Emaar’s continuous efforts to preserve the environment through reducing the eco-footprint of its developments.

UAE (May 12, 2014) - Drake & Scull International has recently signed an agreement with Egypt-based company Carbon Holdings as part of the Tahrir Petrochemical Corporation (TPC) Project development located at the entrance of the Suez Canal in Ain Sokhna, Egypt.

Under the terms of the agreement DSI will exclusively join the international consortium of companies comprising Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. and Ventures and Archirodon Group.
