WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (Dec. 20, 2016)—Sulzer has signed a binding agreement to acquire Wärtsilä’s Vessel Internal Electrostatic Coalescer (VIEC) business, according to a statement released by Sulzer. The VIEC business employs 13 people and is based in Asker, Norway.
WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (Dec. 1, 2016)—On Nov. 30, Sulzer signed an agreement to acquire control of Rotec’s gas turbine maintenance business (Rotec GT), according to a statement from Sulzer. Rotec GT, headquartered in Moscow and majority-controlled by Renova, is mainly active in the Russian market.
Through this transaction, Sulzer becomes a sizable player in the Russian gas turbine service market with revenues of about $40 million, according to the company.
WINTERTHUR, Switzerland (Nov. 28, 2016)—On Nov. 25, Sulzer entered into exclusive discussions with Moret Industries to acquire the pump manufacturer Ensival Moret (EM), a part of Moret Industries, according to a statement from Sulzer. The enterprise value for the proposed transaction is about $86 million (EUR 80 million).
