STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Atlas Copco has completed a partial acquisition of Mobilaris MCE AB, a Swedish company that provides advanced software for underground mining operations.

Atlas Copco first announced its plans in June to acquire 34 percent of Mobilaris. The companies have not disclosed a purchase price, and Mobilaris will continue to operate as a separate company.

ZURICH -- ABB last week completed its acquisition of Bernecker + Rainer Industrie-Elektronik GmbH, Austria-based independent provider focused on product- and software-based, open-architecture solutions for machine and factory automation worldwide.

ABB first announced its acquisition plans in April 2017. The transaction was financed in cash.

SEATTLE -- Seeq Corporation is expanding with five new U.S. hires.

According to a Seeq release, the expansion is aimed at getting faster insights on production data. The company has hired Todd Amy, sales executive in Houston; Jennifer Bentzel, director of marketing in Pennsylvania; Cody Ray Hoeft, software developer in Oregon; Michael Talmadge, analytics engineer in Houston; and Joanna Zinsli, analytics engineer in the Bay Area.

ENON, Ohio (July 10, 2017)—Mark Jones, formerly vice president of engineering and marketing at NORD Gear Corporation, will succeed Mike Dillon as president of SEEPEX, Inc. Mark began at SEEPEX on July 10 in the position of president and chief operating officer and will assume chief executive responsibilities in the fourth quarter of 2017. Mike will continue as the chief executive officer and as a member of the management board of the SEEPEX global group of companies while Mark is on-boarded.

TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- Danfoss' new laboratory and R&D facility is now fully operational.

In June, the company celebrated the grand opening of the "Engineering Tomorrow" Application Development Center. The facility houses three fully-automated test facilities for residential and commercial air-conditiong and heat pump equipment.

The labs will also test flammable refrigerants with real-time data acquisition and performance analysis.

KYOTO, Japan -- Nidec this week announced plans to acquire an Italian commercial pump and motor manufacturer that posted €9.8 million in sales last year.

According to a Nidec release, the company will acquire a 100 percent ownership interest in LGB Elettropompe S.r.l. (“LGB”). The Padua, Italy based company was founded in 1991 and employees 41 people.

It principally manufactures pumps for commercial dishwasher and motors for convection ovens.
