MCALLEN, Texas (Oct. 6, 2015) – Xylem has been awarded a $1.25 million contract to provide advanced treatment technology to the South Wastewater Treatment Plant in the city of McAllen in Texas. The plant provides 240 million gallons of reclaimed, treated wastewater annually to the McAllen Palm View Golf Course for irrigation purposes. Xylem’s technology will help ensure consistent quality at the plant as it treats up to 10 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater.
EMMABODA, Sweden (29 September 2015)—Xylem, Inc., a global water technology company, has produced the 4 millionth Flygt wastewater pump at its manufacturing facility in Sweden. Xylem is the first international pump manufacturer to have produced this quantity of wastewater pumps at the same facility.
The Italian wastewater plant dropped required man-hours and saved more than 170,000 annually in landfill costs.
BRIDGEPORT, N.J. (July 29, 2015) – Xylem Inc. is playing an important role in the Panama Canal Expansion Program by providing its heavy-duty Godwin dewatering pumps to fill the third set of basin locks on the Pacific Ocean sector with 1.7 billion gallons of water, as part of performance trials for the system prior to its commissioning.
