AUSTIN, Texas (May 19, 2016) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved financial assistance totaling $9,365,000 for water system and wastewater system improvements. Of this funding, $290,000 was designated for rural water projects.

The approved projects include:

WASHINGTON (March 22, 2016) – Pentair announced its commitment to open two Application Centers dedicated to helping municipal, industrial and commercial companies better manage water use. The commitment is being announced in conjunction with Pentair's participation at the White House Water Summit, which took place March 22 in honor of the United Nations' World Water Day.

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (Jan. 20, 2016) – The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology and Xylem Inc. have jointly announced a research collaboration to establish sustainability indicators such as energy and cost performance of processes and equipment for water, wastewater and water transport and treatment facilities in Abu Dhabi.

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (Jan. 15, 2016) – The International Desalination Association (IDA) will support the International Water Summit (IWS) that is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibit Centre (ADNEC) January 18-21. Now in its fourth year, the IWS is a global platform for promoting water sustainability and addressing water challenges across the region.

MIDLAND, Texas (Dec. 16, 2015) – STW Resources Holding Corp., a provider of pipeline services, water reclamation and processing management services including water desalination, has received approval from the Middle Pecos Water District for drilling, production and transportation of the water on STW Water’s MRK lease in Pecos County.

CHICAGO, Ill. (Sept. 28, 2015) – The Water Environment Federation (WEF) has announced the first winners of a new national municipal stormwater and green infrastructure awards program. Developed through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the program recognizes high-performing regulated Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) and inspires them to exceed requirements through innovative and cost-effective approaches.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Sept. 28, 2015) – The Water Environment Federation (WEF) has released a new comprehensive report that details the challenges, opportunities and pathways to improving the nation’s stormwater systems. The release of “Rainfall to Results: The Future of Stormwater” at WEFTEC 2015 in Chicago coincided with the official launch of the WEF Stormwater Institute, a new center to address stormwater issues.

AURORA, Ill. (Sept.17, 2015) – The Grundfos S-Line of energy-efficient wastewater pumps are now locally assembled at the company’s Illinois-based Water Utility Competency Center, alongside other Grundfos brands.
Grundfos showcased the submersible wastewater pumps at the 2015 WEFTEC Annual Technical Exhibition held September 26-30 in Chicago.
